A DAY AT HUMMINGBIRDS MONTESSORI SCHOOL

9am to 9.15am DROPPING OFF TIME

Children come in and are greeted by their teachers. A teacher reads a story or sings a song with the children who need some collective time before the working session. 

 

9am to 11.45am MONTESSORI WORK CYCLE 

Children have access to indoor and outdoor activities that respond to their need to learn and grow. The teachers present new activities to groups of children or individually according to their stage of development and interests. 

 

11.45pm to 12.15pm CIRCLE TIME

Children gather around a teacher on the occasion of a collective activity. It can be a song, a story, or the sharing of an interesting piece of information (the beginning of winter, a birthday, the take off of a space ship, etc). 

 

12.15pm HOME TIME

Children are collected by their parents or carer who wait for them at the entrance of the school. The children who are signed up for Afternoon Clubs get ready to sit together for lunch
